Ashtead Technology is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting Mechanical Solutions operations at our Turriff facility. In this hands-on role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the workshop and yard, assisting with the maintenance of our extensive fleet and contributing to the development of new-build equipment. What You’ll Be Doing: Carry out maintenance, refurbishment and preparation of equipment to ensure all assets are fully operational and cosmetically presentable prior to mobilisation. This may include needle gunning, grinding, surface preparation, undercoating and painting. Perform a wide range of workshop tasks including fabricating, measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, grinding, welding, fitting and assembly of components in line with engineering drawings. Build, test, pre-mobilisation check and maintain a variety of diesel, hydraulic, air-driven and mechanical equipment while maintaining accurate maintenance records. Work closely with the department supervisor and wider team to ensure workshop activities are delivered safely and on schedule to support project requirements, supporting apprentices apprentices and sharing best practices and promoting high standards of workmanship. Demonstrate safe and competent use of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery. Maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment, including supporting the 5S system and ensuring work areas are clean, secure and tidy when not in use.
