Interim Head of Finance3 days per week | Hybrid working |Competitive day rate up to £500 per day | Immediate startLocation - ShrewsburyT2MResourcing are working with a national charity who have an opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Interim Head of Finance to provide strong financial leadership during a key transition period for our charity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will stabilise and strengthen the finance function, improve reporting and controls, enhance forecasting and financial insight, and support confident decision-making across the organisation.About the roleAs Interim Head of Finance, you will lead the day-to-day finance operation while reviewing and improving systems, processes, controls, and reporting. You will bring clarity, structure, and calm leadership, helping the organisation navigate change while maintaining excellent financial stewardship.This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic oversight and operational delivery.
You will work closely with Trustees, budget holders, auditors, funders, and external providers to ensure the charitys finances are robust, transparent, and fit for the future.This role is ideal for an experienced interim finance leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced charity environment and quickly building credibility with stakeholders at all levels.What were looking forSignificant senior finance leadership experience, including interim assignmentsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent senior-level experienceStrong UK charity finance experience, including restricted funds, grant reporting, and Charities SORP (FRS 102)Advanced knowledge of Xero and experience improving finance systems and reportingStrong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capabilityProven experience improving financial controls and processesExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and TrusteesHands-on, organised, adaptable, and able to deliver under pressureIf you are interested, please apply immediately with an up to date CVand salary details.Candidates MUST be based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK on a permanent full-time basisDue to high to the high volume of applications we are receiving we are unable to respond to each candidate personally.
