Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Temporary – Oaklands School, B25 8AJ Salary: £88.92–£95.42 per day The School and Role Oaklands School, part of Calthorpe Academy, supports 48 profoundly autistic learners across KS2 and KS3. We are seeking a hands-on Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 or in small groups, implementing personalised strategies to support communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and daily living. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils develop independence and achieve their personalised EHCP goals. Requirements Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or Intensive Interaction is desirable Patient, calm, proactive, and hands-on Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team What we offer As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
