The Community Accommodation with Support, tier 2 (CAS-2) contract is a high-profile commission directly from the Ministry of Justice.

Operating across every region in England and Wales, CAS-2 provides accommodation and support to low and medium risk offenders eligible for home detention curfew or bail, who would otherwise be held in prison due to lack of community accommodation.

It is currently Nacro’s largest contract and is set to grow by 60% over the next 18 months!

Job Type: Fixed Term until 01/06/2026

Salary: £26,584 Per Annum (Base salary £25,584 + £1,000 Unsociable Hours)

Full Time: Working hours are 8 hours per day, with shift patterns and flexibility to be discussed during the interview. The contract covers hours between 08:00 and 22:00.

Covering TS10 AND TS11 areas.

Candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to perform the role.

What will you be doing

In this role, no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on service users and the wider community.

You will manage your diary to meet role requirements, meet with service users, discuss support needs, complete Support and Safety Plans, and collaborate with Community Probation Practitioners and court staff to support service users.

You will also assist service users with applying for Housing Benefit, paying rent, and ensuring properties meet the 'Decent Homes Standard'. Attention to detail is essential to keep homes clean, tidy, and report repairs for readiness for new occupants.

What are we looking for

* Genuine interest in people, adaptable communication skills, active listening, and questioning to ensure understanding.

* Organized – manages priorities, updates systems promptly, follows up on outcomes.
* ICT skills – basic proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel; training provided.

Non-Negotiables

* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Access to vehicle – mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
* Willingness to undertake extensive travel.
* Business car insurance required if appointed.
* Enhanced DBS check and registration on the DBS Update Service; prison clearance also required.
* Applications from individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system are welcomed; having a criminal record does not necessarily preclude success.
