Job Description Start here. Grow here. AECOM is seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer with a highways and drainage focus to join our busy Development Infrastructure Team in St Albans. The team delivers a wide range of multidisciplinary, predominantly residential-led infrastructure projects. Our work spans early scoping and feasibility, technical support for planning, detailed infrastructure design for implementation, and ongoing support during construction. In addition, the team supports AECOM design teams across the UK and Ireland on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, water infrastructure, and solar farms. We also provide civil engineering design support to our structural engineering colleagues on projects across commercial, education, leisure, defence, healthcare, and other government sectors. Here’s what you’ll do: This role offers an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced Civil Engineer to further develop their career, taking on increased responsibility for both technical delivery and project management. Key responsibilities include: Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, with increasing responsibility for project management. Prepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys. Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk). Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
