Pipe Fitter
Location: Manchester
Salary: £19-23 per hour
Hours: 44 hours per week – 07:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 15:30 Friday (flexible working required)
Contract: Permanent
Overview
We’re after a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing team within a well-established vehicle body manufacturing company. Full training will be provided to support your development and success.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding using hand and machine tools
Repair pipe systems using various welding and plumbing techniques
Attach pipes to structures and bend them into position
Seal pipework routes to prevent water ingress
Perform tests to ensure no leaks or weak joints
Carry out welding, soldering, brazing, and fusing of pipework
Read and interpret specifications to plan and install piping systems in industrial units and vehicles
What You’ll Need
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Pipe Fitter
