Job Title: Project Finance Analyst
Location: Head Office, Leicestershire

Position Overview:
As a Project Analyst you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing project management activities within our organisation. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in SQL or Databricks, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and engagement abilities. The Project Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse project data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Utilise SQL or Databricks to extract, manipulate, and analyse project data from various sources.
o Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and measure key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Interpret data to uncover insights and trends, providing actionable recommendations to project stakeholders.
* Project Support:
o Assist project managers in scoping, planning, scheduling, coordinating project activities.
o Collaborate with team members to gather project requirements and ensure data accuracy and completeness including User Acceptance Testing.
o Monitor project timelines, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
* Stakeholder Communication:
o Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, project teams, and external partners.
o Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather requirements, discuss findings, and drive decision-making processes.
o Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project objectives.
* Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to streamline project workflows and improve efficiency through automation or optimisation of existing processes.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices and standards for project management and data analysis.
o Continuously evaluate and enhance tools and methodologies to support project delivery and decision-making.
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience as a Project Analyst or similar role, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience:
* Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g. Smartsheets, AzureDevOps) is a plus.
* Proficiency in SQL and/or Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
* CIMA or ACCA part qualified.
