Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer Team Lead
Our client, a leading energy company based in North West England, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer Team Lead. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Decommissioning Team, working on core engineering tasks related to decommissioning projects. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of the decommissioning lifecycle, including decommissioning planning, design, and waste management, along with dismantling, demolition, and delicensing activities. You will deliver innovative engineering solutions to complex challenges and serve as a technical lead for various projects, while mentoring junior team members.
* Proven experience in decommissioning and dismantling engineering.
* A background in engineering, with experience in similar fields.
* Strong understanding of project phases: feasibility, preliminary design, detail design, and construction/commissioning.
* Ability to deliver detailed feasibility studies and multi-phase decommissioning plans.
* Experience in preparation of Method Statements, Design Risk Assessments, and tender documents.
* Knowledge of safety and hazard identification processes, including HAZOP and HAZID.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on coaching junior engineers.
* Willingness to work on-site across various locations including Warrington, Abingdon, or Westlakes.
