Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our practical, value adding services, we are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and ambitious environmental sustainability practitioner to join our team. As a growing consultancy, every team member has a voice and plays an active role in shaping our direction and contributing to our success.
The successful applicant will play a key role in our environmental sustainability support offering.
Who We Are Looking For
We need someone who can hit the ground running, driven, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. You will be confident networking, spotting opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
You must be able to manage your own time effectively (we do not micro-manage!) and deliver high-quality work consistently. Strong report writing, analytical skills, and the ability to oversee projects from inception to completion are essential.
The role is hybrid, combining home and office working with regular visits to client sites. Travel across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Great Britain will be required, including occasional overnight stays.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Essential Criteria
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable multi-year experience relevant to the responsibilities of this role, gained either within a consultancy environment (preferred) or as an in-house environmental/sustainability specialist.
* Relevant degree (environmental or sustainability-related) or equivalent required.
* Full UK driving licence, clean driving record, and access to a vehicle for business travel.
You must have in-depth experience in at least two of the following key technical areas:
1. Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001, BS7750) implementation and maintenance including internal auditing against ISO standard requirements as well as to identify performance improvement opportunities, baseline reviews/ assessments, compliance checks, and operating plan development.
2. Environmental compliance assurance including environmental permitting e.g. PPC, EU/UK ETS.
3. Environmental training design and delivery.
4. Waste management, resource efficiency or circularity audits/ reviews to identify performance improvement opportunities.
Desirable Criteria
* Carbon baselining and emissions reduction planning
* Scope 3 emissions measurement and assessment
* Life Cycle Assessments
* ESG/sustainability strategy development and reporting
* Technical tender specification development and evaluation
* Recognised Health & Safety qualification
* Professional membership (or working towards it) is desirable.
