Blue Arrow is recruiting an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor for a country hotel located in south Solihull. Your duties will include:
1. Planning and supervising daily activities and shifts for the housekeeping team.
2. Training, motivating, and developing housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and organizational policies.
3. Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback, resolving any issues that arise.
4. Thoroughly cleaning rooms, changing bedding, and replenishing consumables.
5. Ensuring room turnaround time is within 30 minutes per room.
6. Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and other spaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
7. Monitoring the quality of work performed by housekeeping assistants.
8. Managing and maintaining adequate stock of linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
9. Ordering and replenishing cleaning products and other necessary items.
10. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations and protocols.
11. Responding to customer complaints and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
12. Liaising with other departments like maintenance and front desk to coordinate services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience in housekeeping.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Thorough understanding of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
* Familiarity with budget and inventory management.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Salary is dependent on experience. Hours of work are 5 out of 7 days, including weekends. Access to own transport is preferable due to the location.
