Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Central London for a Group HR Director – Wines & Spirits. The Group HR Director will oversee all HR functions, including the development and implementation of HR policies, employee relations, and performance management. This role involves ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, working closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, and fostering a positive work environment.

The Role
The Group HR Director will define, drive, and deliver the people strategy at a key moment of transformation and growth. Reporting to the CEO & COO from a central London base, the successful candidate will be a strategic partner to leadership, responsible for building a solutions-focused HR team, leading cultural development, and ensuring seamless integration of acquired businesses.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with business growth.
* Champion a high-performance and values-driven culture, fostering engagement and collaboration.
* Lead organisational transformation and change initiatives, particularly following portfolio expansion.
* Provide actionable, strategic reporting and communication to senior leadership.
* Oversee best-practice HR operations, compliance, and risk management.
* Direct talent acquisition, employer branding, and workforce planning to attract and retain exceptional talent.
* Integrate new businesses, building cohesive teams and aligning processes and cultures.
* Design and deliver learning, development, and performance management frameworks.
* Architect competitive compensation, reward, and benefits structures.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Significant experience in senior, strategic HR leadership—preferably in entrepreneurial, luxury brand, or founder-led environments.
* Successful track record of scaling HR functions and leading change in fast-paced businesses.
* Commercially focused, solutions-driven mindset attuned to luxury sector dynamics.
* Strong strategic leadership, hands-on operational ability, and proactive approach.
* Deep expertise in employment law, governance, compliance, and risk management.

* Understanding of the nuances in luxury goods, brand-led consumer organisations.
