We now have a fantastic opportunity for a SENCO to join our new Acorn Education school, Robins Way School located in Amesbury.
About the role
The SENDCO will ensure that Special Education Needs provision is effectively managed and that all legal and statutory requirements are met for students needing SEN.
The SENDCO will provide professional guidance to teaching staff to maintain and improve the standard of teaching, make good use of resources, and achieve positive outcomes for students.
Responsibilities include reviewing, attending, and leading EHCP reviews, liaising with class teachers, multi-agency professionals, Assistant SENDCo, and Assistant Headteacher to ensure outcomes are updated and shared.
Main Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Assistant Headteacher:
* Ensure high standards in SEN responsibilities within the Education Team.
* Support collaboration with the residential department for effective communication.
* Maximize learning opportunities for all students.
* Monitor and evaluate SEN support quality and implement improvements.
* Participate in statutory reviews and reports concerning students.
* Implement and maintain the SEN policy in line with current regulations.
* Oversee and monitor EHCPs/IEPs and support plans, maintaining details for meetings.
* Use Provision Mapping to track provisions for each young person.
* Participate in and complete reports for PEP and LAC reviews.

Robins Way School is a new SEN school for pupils with complex needs including SEMH, for ages 5-11.
