About the role

SZC is owned by Électricité de France (EDF) and His Majestys Government (HMG), with investments managed through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The company is responsible for designing, financing, constructing, commissioning, operating, maintaining, and decommissioning the Sizewell C nuclear power plant in Suffolk, including related infrastructure such as hydrogen, air capture, and desalination projects. The current development phase focuses on capital raising, securing regulatory permits, and preparing for construction.

Previously part of EDFs Nuclear Development business, SZC is transitioning to independent operation, aiming to deliver a new nuclear power plant from investment to decommissioning. The project leverages the technical and commercial model of Hinkley Point C, with EDF as a key nuclear capability provider.


What youll be doing

The Sr Marine Methods Engineer will support offshore construction methods development for reinforced concrete structures, coordinating with design teams and supply chain partners to develop and evaluate construction methods, ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety standards. Responsibilities include reviewing designs for buildability, engaging with market suppliers, developing detailed design briefs, and supporting delivery strategies for offshore activities.


Who were looking for

Knowledge & Skills

* Experience in planning and executing civil, structural, and offshore works, particularly with marine operations and contractor-led projects.
* Stakeholder engagement skills, including interfacing with designers and subcontractors.
* Effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and proficiency with 3D/4D modelling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).

Qualifications & Experience

* Degree and professional qualification or working towards one.
* Minimum 5 years experience in offshore construction roles, including working with DP systems and major projects.

Desirable

* Certification as Temporary Works Coordinator and offshore experience with drilling, dredging, or heavy lifts.
