A fast-growing, privately-owned facilities management business is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team in Knutsford. Along with a salary of up to GBP 35,000 per annum, you will also receive 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and hybrid working (2 WFH days per week).
You will be supporting the business by flagging any risks or issues at the earliest opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
1. Ensuring timesheets are entered into the system and collated to work undertaken, allocated against the correct job.
2. Handling sundry activities related to expenses claimed, such as checking validity and rates.
3. Approving, batching, reviewing, and entering expenses into internal systems.
4. Administering all billing activities for key client accounts, including checking authorized values, client portals, and invoicing requirements.
5. Performing ad hoc credit control duties following submission of work to clients.
6. Raising POs for project managers and checking values against the project budget.
7. Reviewing outstanding POs and taking appropriate action.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in a similar role, with strong billing and sales ledger experience, and familiarity with client billing portals.
2. Experience working as part of a close-knit team.
3. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
4. Ability to quickly learn new systems.
5. Understanding of the Hard FM sector is useful but not essential.
