Fire and Security Service Supervisor – Southend-on-Sea - £35,000
My client is a well-established and reputable fire & security service provider who covers London and the home counties. They are now seeking a service supervisor to join their team.
Salary Package:
1. £30,000 - £35,000
2. Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm
3. 20 Days Plus Bank Holidays, Birthday Off (1 additional day per years’ service)
4. Onsite parking
Duties:
5. Fulfil the responsibilities of a Lead Service Coordinator when required, including providing cover during periods of annual leave
6. Act as Service Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of leadership
7. Offer guidance, mentorship, and training to Lead Coordinators to support their professional development
8. Collaborate with other departments and personnel to effectively resolve operational issues
9. Provide oversight and direction to both Lead Coordinators and Service Coordinators
10. Produce regular reports and updates for designated clients, and represent the department in client meetings
11. Monitor, analyse, and report on team performance metrics and trends
12. Deliver constructive feedback on individual staff performance to support improvement and development
13. Manage escalated matters related to the service department, both internally and externally
14. Conduct return-to-work interviews, probationary reviews, and development meetings in conjunction with the Service Manager
15. Allocate and prioritize workloads for Lead Coordinators to ensure timely and effective task completion
16. Work alongside the Service Manager to identify and implement strategies for improving departmental efficiency and profitability
17. Perform quality assurance checks on individual outputs, using results to provide tailored coaching and guidance
18. Design, implement, and revise internal processes to optimize service delivery
19. Develop and update comprehensive training materials and documentation
20. Support the recruitment process for departmental office roles, including CV screening, virtual interviews, and in-person assessments
21. Participate in senior-level meetings, such as monthly service management reviews and Integrated Delivery Meetings (IDMs)
Person Specification:
22. Excellent organisational skills.
23. Strong oral and written communications skills.
24. Willingness to be a team player, with the ability to work flexibly across different work areas.
25. Great problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
26. Minimum 5 years’ administrative experience
27. Experience working within the Fire & Security sector
