Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to join our Electro-Biomedical Engineering (EBME) team to carry out maintenance / repair on a wide range of diagnostic medical devices across the county of Warwickshire. To be a member of the team in the 'Electro Bio Medical Engineering Department' providing maintenance/ repair support on a wide range of medical equipment both within the Trust and out in the community. The potholder will be responsible for supporting the EBME department in carrying out routine planned maintenance including electrical safety testing in accordance with specified standards. The job will also require identifying any potential risks associated with the use of medical devices.
Responsibilities
* Carry out daily maintenance and repair of the Trust’s and external clients’ medical devices, including inspection and electrical safety checks.
* Perform routine planned maintenance in accordance with specified standards and requirements.
* Work autonomously to frequent deadlines while maintaining a professional approach.
* Identify potential risks associated with the use and maintenance of medical devices and escalate as appropriate.
* Provide support to the EBME department in a team environment and use initiative when needed.
Qualifications
* BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or demonstrable experience maintaining and repairing microprocessor-based electrical/electronic equipment.
* Evidence of good practical skills and a sound knowledge of maintenance practices; ability to demonstrate this at interview.
