AsServices transition through their operational Lifecycle, you will ensure that service records, dataattributesand interdependent relationships in the DWP Service Portfolio Catalogue areaccurateand reflect the current agreed service data model.

You will support the development and implementation of Service Portfolio Catalogue strategic plans,taking into accountthe Common Service Data Model within ServiceNow.

Working with stakeholders, you will optimise the day-to-day capture and use of Service Portfolio Catalogue recordsandtheirassociated data. This will entail agreeing the scope of plans and procedures with stakeholders and ensuring that changes to plans and procedures are properlyimpactedand communicated.

As a Service Portfolio Catalogue Manager, you will:
* Enhance and apply Service Portfolio Catalogue standards, plans, processes and procedures based on organisational policies and standards.
* Manage Service records and ensure that changes to them are properly impacted, approvedand communicated.
* Enhance and apply processes, techniques and tools to capture, track, correct and report on Service records and associated data to ensure accuracy,completenessand availability.
* Ensure that process interfaces with other functions are clearly defined.
* Be working between multiple ServiceNow environments on discovery for future adaptations, modelling the proposed data model and testing ahead of platform releases.
* Report on the status of Service Portfolio Catalogue data and process performance.
* Make use of automation where possible to increase process efficiency and accuracy.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and encourage joined up working within own team and across other groups. Collaborate to share information, resources and support.
* Support continuous improvement and successful exploitation of the data model, processes and procedures.
* Identify risks and issues, escalating them via your manager or the relevant stakeholder as appropriate.
Person specification

* Proficient withServiceNow andMicrosoft Office programs, especially Excel, and associated software tools.

Hybrid Working

This role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work.

Salary Information

The salary for this role is38,772- 39,621.

New entrants to the Civil Service will join on band minimum.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.

Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or receive a 10% increase in salary, whichever is greater.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Experience.

Stage 1: Application

Your application will consist of three parts:

1. A Personal Details application form.

2. Employment history - this should contain your work experience and any skills, qualifications and accomplishments relevant to the jobs you have completed based on the essential criteria.

3. Personal statement - up to 1250 words. This statement should be used to provide examples of how you meet the essential criteria listed in the Person specification.

The sift panel will use the information in your employment history and personal statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge against the essential criteria.

You will be provided with one combined overall assessment score for both your CV and Personal Statement.

An initial sift will be conducted using the lead criterion stated. Candidates who pass the initial sift will progress to a full sift.
