Trainee Laboratory Technician – Agricultural Testing – Full-Time – Lincolnshire We’re currently recruiting for a Trainee Laboratory Technician to join a busy agricultural testing team based near Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in a hands-on lab environment within the food and farming sector. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and involves a mix of lab-based work, physical tasks, and data handling. You’ll be part of a small but vital team working closely with both internal departments and external partners to ensure quality standards are met across all grain testing operations. Key Responsibilities: * Operate the public weighbridge * Carry out analytical and visual assessments on cereals, pulses, and oilseeds * Record and report data with a high degree of accuracy * Assist in monitoring grain quality during vessel loading at port locations * Maintain lab equipment and manage sample storage * Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth operations What We’re Looking For: * Someone comfortable with both technical tasks and physical work (e.g. handling grain sacks) * A detail-oriented individual with good numeracy and data entry skills * Able to stay focused and accurate, particularly during testing procedures * Strong time management and self-motivation * A science-based or mathematical background is helpful but not essential * Flexible with working hours during peak periods such as harvest or portside work * Willingness to travel and stay overnight occasionally, including weekend availability when needed What’s Offered: * Competitive salary: £25,000–£26,000 per year * 20 days holiday * Access to professional development and training support * Life assurance scheme and company pension If you’re looking for a varied, practical role with strong development potential, we’d love to hear from you.
