What you will do: Complete strength-based assessments for people with disabilities within the City Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation. Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet assessed needs. Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers how to use the equipment and adaptations provided. Liaise with other professionals, statutory, voluntary, and community resources, ensuring the best possible services are provided within available resources. Manage a diverse workload, aligning with Adult Social Care priorities and City Council policies. Stay informed about statutory obligations and the legal framework, including Care Act 2014 guidelines. Maintain accurate electronic social care records, manage a diverse caseload and action outcomes within agreed service standards. Utilise appropriate training and development opportunities to advance your professional development. Guide the development of Occupational Therapy Assistants and students on placements. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative service delivery. Ensure assessments are strength-based and outcome-driven. Establish partnerships with people with disabilities and carers, with a focus on consultation and participation. Enhance Occupational Therapy assessment functions within the service.
