This opportunity offers flexible full-time or part-time working arrangements with competitive hourly pay. In this role, you will manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring that care planning is robust, child-centred and outcome-focused. You will play a key part in supporting permanence planning and promoting stability for children and young people. Key Responsibilities Case Management & Care Planning Manage a caseload of looked after children Develop, implement and review comprehensive care plans Ensure all statutory visits are completed within required timescales Promote long-term stability and positive outcomes for children Permanence & Court Work Facilitate permanence planning, including reunification, long-term fostering or adoption Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings Provide professional evidence in court where required Multi-Agency Collaboration Work closely with education providers, health services and partner agencies Participate in multi-agency meetings to safeguard and promote welfare Ensure children's voices are central to all planning and decision-making Compliance & Recording Maintain accurate and timely case records Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, safeguarding procedures and local policies Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards Requirements Social Work England registration Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work Experience within statutory children's social care Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and permanence planning Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills Commitment to continuous professional development Perks and Benefits Flexible part-time or full-time working options Competitive hourly pay Hybrid working arrangements Ongoing professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Why Wakefield?
