The role
As an Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role within our Cavendish Nuclear business. Our work includes decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities, supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our mission is to clean up the nuclear legacy and support a future where nuclear energy contributes to national security, energy supply, and net zero targets.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead the planning and management of multidisciplinary projects, coordinating various tasks. You will oversee the engineering team to deliver technical solutions within budget and scope, from concept design through full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
* Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering work.
* Promote collaboration across engineering and other teams.
* Manage customer relationships, including liaising with existing and new clients, resolving technical and delivery issues, and keeping them informed of progress.
* Ensure technical output meets agreed scope and standards.
* Prioritize health, safety, and environmental standards across the team.
* Manage resource demands, develop team capabilities, and mentor team members.
* Plan and execute project and technical audits for continuous improvement.
* Maintain industry best practices and foster a culture of engineering excellence and cultural change.
Essential experience
* Management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams on various projects.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
This role is full-time, permanent (37 hours/week), with hybrid/flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications
* An engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with significant experience.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain baseline security clearance.
