Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant – Team Teach Trained (SEND)

Are you a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training and a strong background in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? We are currently recruiting for experienced professionals to work across a range of specialist provisions supporting children and young people with additional needs.
The Role:
You will be working in specialist schools or alternative provisions that cater to pupils with complex needs such as:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
* Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
* ADHD, speech and language needs, and other SEND profiles
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in the classroom
* Using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies in line with Team Teach training
* Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
* Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
* Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies
Requirements:
* Team Teach certificate (current or recently expired)
* Previous experience in a SEND or alternative provision setting
* A calm, nurturing, and patient attitude
* Ability to build positive relationships with students who present with challenging behaviour
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
