## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role* Christchurch based* Permanent, full time* Work closely with senior district leaders.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**The primary purpose of the role is to Lead the District Finance team to deliver quality strategic financial management services and insights to the Group Director Operations (GDO) and District Leadership Team to drive financial performance, minimise financial risk and inform and improve operational decision-making to ensure budget objectives are met.The role ensures finance deliverables including monthly financial performance reporting, cash flow management, balance sheet management and the collation of regional budgets and forecasts are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The role is location specific, required to be located with the GDO.**About you**You'll bring 10 - 15 years of proven experience in senior financial management roles, along with a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. You have a strong track record as a senior financial manager in a leadership capacity, successfully overseeing financial operations and delivering results.Your technical expertise spans accounting and finance, with a solid grasp of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
