This is a fantastic opportunity for established lead data scientists or senior data scientists looking to take the next step.
In This Role You Will
* Lead and develop a small team of data scientists working on our new analytics platform.
* Have a hands‑on role in developing and deploying a range of data science models, including those involving machine learning and NLP.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify the most impactful analytics projects and ensure solutions address business needs.
You Will Have
* Significant experience in a data science role, including experience of managing junior data scientists.
* Experience thinking strategically about developing a data science function.
* Strong understanding of analytics, data science, and machine learning techniques, and proven experience deploying models in real-world situations.
* Extensive programming ability in Python and/or R, strong ability to use SQL, and experience with NLP, ML libraries and frameworks, and with Git or other version control systems.
* Demonstrable experience of formulating, solving, and implementing analytical solutions to business problems.
* Effective at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
* Highly developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to “talk tech” to senior teams with a commitment to plain English.
* Experience utilising cloud platforms, ideally with Azure and Databricks.
