An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing End User Services UK department supporting multiple high-profile clients as part of the Capgemini portfolio. The role of Application Packager is a forward-thinking position that supports the client by providing software in a controlled and monitored manner. It also allows you to drive change, improvement, and efficiency as standard. This is an opportunity to lead your own improvements and enhance the end user experience.
Hybrid working: The work location will vary between Company offices, client sites, and your home, depending on your role and needs. Note that working from home 100% of the time is not permitted.
If offered this position, you will undergo pre-employment checks including identity verification, nationality or immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your role
1. Provide an organized and controlled method of delivering software to the client.
2. Document each application to clarify its purpose and how it was packaged.
3. Build relationships with clients, third parties, and vendors.
4. Identify automation and efficiency opportunities, problem-solving, and solutions.
5. Assist with UAT fault resolution and quality assurance testing.

Your Skills and Experience
1. Experience with PowerShell Application Deployment Toolkit (PS-ADT) or Microsoft Installer (MSI) packaging and troubleshooting.
2. Knowledge of packaging tools/installer engines such as ADT, Orca, and Flexera Admin Studio.
3. Proficiency in scripting languages like VBS, Batch, and PowerShell.
4. Understanding of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) or MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) administration.
Your security clearance
To be appointed, you must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance, which requires residing in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, among other criteria. During recruitment, questions about your eligibility for security clearance will be asked, including residency and nationality details. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals for security reasons.
