Sales Administrator
Location: Stone, Staffordshire (ST15)
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
* Reporting to:Sales Office Manager
* Liaising with:Sales Representatives, Warehouse and all internal departments
Role Purpose
The Sales Administrator is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of all sales enquiries and orders received via telephone and email, while adhering to company procedures and operational standards. The role supports proactive sales activity, delivers high standards of customer service, and promotes the company's core values at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Process all sales orders and enquiries accurately and efficiently, ensuring due consideration is given to customer credit ratings and indirect costs of sale
* Respond promptly to customer requests for updates on outstanding orders and ensure progress is communicated with minimal delay
* Ensure all Sales Office procedures outlined in the Working Practices and Operations Manuals are followed at all times
* Take responsibility for account management of an allocated customer base
* Engage in proactive selling activities where appropriate
* Ensure all outstanding enquiries are followed up in a timely and effective manner
* Handle customer complaints, collection requests, and credit requests accurately and efficiently using the correct computer systems
* Maintain excellent customer relationships through a polite, professional, and helpful approach
* Keep Sales Representatives informed of customer requests requiring their involvement
* Pass relevant market information to the National Sales Manager via the Sales Office Manager
* Assess and process all credit requests accurately and within agreed timescales
