We are seeking a dedicated and inspirational English Teacher to join a highly successful and ambitious secondary academy in Kirklees. Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum for English and a commitment to delivering a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness for one).

* Exceptional subject knowledge of English Language and Literature.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Creativity and innovation in lesson planning.
* Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* Patience and empathy.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student work in line with school policy.
* Monitor, track, and report on student progress, using data to inform future planning.
* Differentiate lessons to support a wide range of abilities and learning needs, including students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages mutual respect and participation.
* Contribute to the planning, development, and moderation of the English curriculum.
* Set and mark homework and internal assessments.
* Prepare students for external examinations, particularly GCSE English Language and Literature.
* Participate in departmental meetings and whole:school training.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and well:being.
* Promote literacy across the curriculum and a love of reading throughout the school.
