About the Job:
We have an exciting opportunity at our Telford Service Centre for a skilled and motivated Calibration Engineer. This hands-on role involves the calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to ensure precision, functionality, and reliability for our customers. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and technical excellence.
About the Team:
You’ll join a friendly, experienced team of technicians dedicated to delivering high-quality service. While you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the calibration process, we provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed. We believe in learning from each other and growing together.
Responsibilities
* Calibrate, validate, and repair electrical/electronic instruments and mechanical torque tools
* Service both Keysight and non-Keysight products at our Telford Service Centre
* Perform routine tasks using defined procedures and use sound judgment for technical challenges
* Solve a wide range of technical issues with varying complexity
* Communicate effectively with customers in person and in writing to understand their requirements
* Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) for on-site calibration work
Required Qualifications:
* Relevant education or experience in electrical/electronic engineering
* Certified or qualified as an electrical/electronic technician (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
* Eligible to obtain UK security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
* City & Guilds Electronics qualifications
* Previous experience in calibration or test/repair services
* Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
