We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join Phoenix Futures as a Family Support Worker, HMP Altcourse, Liverpool!
The Role
As a Family Support Worker, you will support our clients and their families to reach their goals and change their lives for the better. You will be part of a passionate and skilled team, contributing to the provision of tailored interventions and recovery approaches. Your main role will be to support the families of our clients who either have substance misuse issues themselves or who need support with the challenges of having a loved one in custody.
Part of your role will be to work with our clients to deliver specific tailor made interventions around family relationships and relationship building.
You will be required to work directly with offenders delivering effective care-planned support using appropriate models, interventions, and approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of the client group. Previous experience of working within rehabilitation, treatment, and re-offending prevention services would be beneficial.
About You
To join us as a Family Support worker at HMP Altcourse, you will need:
* Relevant experience of workingin health and social care, ideally within the field of problematic substance use, mental health oranother comparable field
* Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of theclient and service
* Evidence of managing a busy caseload or tasks and excellent organisational skills
* To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Wordand befamiliar withdatabase management systems
* Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal
* Have an understanding of complex issues presented by people entering custody
* Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
* Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support

* Starting salary of £24,637with opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £28,000
