Purpose of the IT Support Analyst:
SAIC urgently requires a 1st level IT Support Analyst to offer (front line) technical support to a growing AI research lab.
Role and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for IT Support Analyst:
1. Setup and configure Windows laptops
2. Proxy troubleshooting and rule management (GUI)
3. Troubleshooting Windows, Outlook, etc.
4. Induction sessions for new starters
5. Asset management (Service Desk Portal)
6. Use of IT Helpdesk platform to log or respond to incidents/requests
7. Account creation and management
8. Samsung Security Tools management (NASCA, ESCORT)
9. Write How-To articles for people FAQs on confluence
10. Provide one-to-one assistance where required
11. Proactive Incident investigation on affected systems
12. Direct investigation of incident root cause and provide users with updates
13. Coordinate with the Centre’s IT Engineer for testing changes on systems
14. Ensure availability of IT stock to support the requirements of the Centre

Skills and experience required for the role
Essential:
15. Windows OS / Linux OS
16. Symantec Antivirus
17. PC Installation and Setup
18. PC troubleshooting, Windows and Linux in corporate environment
19. AD (Basic)
20. TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
21. Firewall understanding
22. Proxy understanding
Desirable:
23. Linux sysadmin
24. Bash scripting
25. ITIL principles
26. Computer Science background
27. Experience/Interest in Machine Learning environment
