The Business
We’re partnering with a fast-growing food manufacturing business that has recently invested heavily in its own production facility as part of a major growth phase.
Following several years of strong brand momentum and investment, the company has now reached an exciting stage where operational capability is being scaled to support continued growth across retail, e-commerce and B2B channels.
With demand continuing to accelerate, the business is now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of end-to-end planning and supply chain operations across the site. This role will play a key part in building the structure, processes and rigour needed to support the next phase of growth.
The Role
The Supply Chain Manager will take responsibility for planning, coordination and optimisation of the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring the factory and commercial teams are supported with the right materials, stock levels and production plans.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-moving SME environment, where the successful individual will work closely with operations, finance and commercial teams to ensure the business can scale effectively.
The position will oversee procurement, production planning, inventory management and warehouse operations, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
* Manage suppliers for raw materials, packaging and consumables, ensuring strong performance, cost control and continuity of supply
* Lead supplier negotiations and procurement initiatives to improve cost efficiency and reliability
Production Planning
* Convert sales forecasts into effective production plans that balance service levels, stock availability and factory efficiency
* Adjust plans in response to changing demand, operational challenges or capacity constraints
Inventory & Stock Control
* Maintain accurate stock levels across raw materials and finished goods
* Manage stock control procedures, conduct stock counts and address discrepancies
* Monitor slow-moving or excess stock and take action to mitigate risk
Warehouse & Logistics
* Oversee goods-in and goods-out operations and ensure smooth material flow through the site
* Coordinate with logistics partners to maintain reliable inbound and outbound supply
Systems & Continuous Improvement
* Use ERP/MRP systems to manage planning, reporting and supply chain data
* Support finance with stock valuation and reporting processes
* Identify and implement improvements across supply chain processes and operations
What We’re Looking For
* Experience within food manufacturing supply chain or operations
* Strong understanding of procurement, production planning, inventory management and logistics
* Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment
* Confident using ERP/MRP systems and Excel
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable operating in a fast-growing SME environment
* A proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys solving operational challenges
