Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major manufacturing business on the appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant on a full-time basis. As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and departmental reports across all areas of responsibility. In your new role: Establish and maintain standard costs for internal services/products and externally sold products. Update standard costs regularly to reflect current cost structures. Analyse labour cost data and assess rates used in costing and overhead allocation. Perform monthly variance analysis, comparing actual versus standard costs, and report on factors impacting pricing and gross margin. Prepare month-end inventory reports for management review. Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Provide financial support to Sales and Purchasing functions. Ensure inter-company reconciliations are completed and maintained monthly. Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors. Support continuous improvement initiatives for financial controls and processes. Provide financial support to other departments as required. What you will need to succeed: IATI and GCSE qualifications. 3 years relevant experience, ideally within manufacturing.
