Mechanical Package Manager — Port of Nigg, Inverness, Scotland. You will oversee the mechanical scope from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule are achieved on the HVDC subsea cable factory project for Europlan Group.

We have recently been appointed as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contractor for a £450M state-of-the-art HVDC subsea cable factory at the Port of Nigg, Inverness, working with Japanese clients. This flagship project will play a crucial role in Europe’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the mechanical package for the HVDC cable factory, ensuring compliance with all technical and contractual requirements.
* Oversee procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and process engineering disciplines.
* Monitor and control project progress, reporting on P&L performance and ensuring delivery within scope.
* Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet project objectives.
* Drive health, safety, and environmental compliance across all mechanical activities.
* Support the development of the team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Skills and Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
* Proven track record delivering large-scale industrial or manufacturing projects.
* Previous experience in combined Mechanical/Electrical (M&E) projects is highly desirable.
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with ability to manage package budgets.
* Excellent IT and project management skills, including familiarity with CSA activities.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
* Experience in energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors advantageous.
* The role requires the ability to translate drawings and engineering into the physical installation, demanding a strong element of on-site experience.
