An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Akari Cares as an Employee Relations Manager, based ideally in the North East, Newcastle up on Tyne Area, and covering all our homes across England & Wales. Akari Care provide residential and nursing care services to the elderly operating 32 homes nationally. Job Purpose: To play a crucial role in managing complex employee relations cases, advising managers on employment terms and conditions, shaping HR strategy, managing compliance including immigration and manage deliver and design of ER Training and Development. The role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders to drive business goals, implementing HR policies and procedures, and contributing to talent management initiatives. Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations cases, including dispute resolution, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance management and redundancy. Apply HR and business knowledge to make informed decisions in complex scenarios. Define and support the implementation of an ER operating model including policy, process, governance, and capability. Advisory Role: Provide comprehensive generalist HR support to Regional Management and their designated portfolios, to deliver solutions to people management issues in accordance with business and commercial requirements. Policy Training and Development: Design and develop HR training events to Managers across the Company as required, to ensure employees are kept up to date on policies, procedures and any relevant legislation. Develop a training strategy to ensure all managers are updated on new processes. Leadership: Support talent and succession planning initiatives. HR risk management, making sure likely scenarios, risks and outcomes are pre-empted to minimise precarious situations, and to escalate to the Head of Employee Relations where necessary Build effective working relationships with the senior leadership team, influencing and challenging where appropriate. Deputise for Head of Employee Relations and be an escalation point when required. Strategy and Data Insight: Analyse employee relations trends to help develop proactive strategies solutions, programs and policies. Compliance: Keep up to date with immigration law and changes that will impact colleges Responsible for the day to day file management of international workers within the business.
