Overview
The School of Health and Life Sciences is appointing to the post of Lecturer Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Secondary emergency and Urgent Care within the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice in the School of Health & Life Sciences. The standard TSPP academic role combines teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. The relative weight of these areas may vary between and over time for each role holder.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement, as part of a mixed portfolio of duties that aligns with the TSPP role.
Qualifications and Experience
* Must be a practising AHP on the HCPC register or a nurse on the NMC register.
* Must hold both a first degree and a Masters in a relevant discipline or hold an equivalent professional qualification or demonstrate significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
* Experience working in Secondary Care and/or urgent/emergency care settings.
* You will utilise your knowledge to contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement.
* Applicants must hold or be willing to achieve a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment, i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation, alongside membership of a relevant professional body / registered professional in the discipline / equivalent level of professional practice.
Other Information
* The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a satisfactory DBS disclosure as part of clearance procedures.
* Due to UKVI minimum salary thresholds, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
