Job description
Prospero are working with a lovely secondary school in Bury who are looking to recruit a finance administrator to join their team as soon as possible.
The role will be a full time role, the hours will be 8am – 4pm with a 30 minute break. It is essential that you have experience using FMS previously. This is initially a temporary position, with the likelihood of going permanent.
Reporting to the head teacher and School Business Manager you will be responsible for:
1. Provide administrative assistance to the team.
2. Process orders using school finance software FMS
3. Inputting invoices
4. Input and extraction of data within SIMS.
5. At times you may be required to cover the main reception acting as first point of contact in School Reception, .
6. Assist parents with enquiries.
7. Maintain the dinner debt spreadsheet calling parents, sending letters home to parent to inform them of this debt.
8. Input and check the school dinner list every day, adding meals and informing parents if they have not placed a meal on the system for their child..
It is essential all applicants have:
9. Excellent interpersonal skills
10. Effective use of microsoft office
11. Good communication skills (written and oral)
12. Strong admin background
13. Experience using FMS
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide a minimum of two professional references to cover the last two years
