Role: Treasury Analyst
Location: Durrington (Worthing) (Hybrid – 1–2 days/week in office)
Salary: Circa £35,000 DOE

Are you detail-oriented, numerate, and passionate about Treasury operations? Southern Water is looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team and play a pivotal role in managing our cash and debt processes .
What you’ll be doing:
As our Treasury Analyst, you’ll be the subject matter expert for cash management systems and treasury automation. You’ll ensure our cash and debt management runs smoothly and in line with governance and control processes. You’ll also support wider Treasury activities and contribute to ad-hoc projects and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring bank positions to ensure sufficient cleared funds for payments and obligations.
2. Creating and processing intercompany and external payments.
3. Minimising idle balances and maximising returns on cash.
4. Maintaining up-to-date banking and dealing mandates.
5. Documenting policies and procedures to ensure auditability and compliance.
6. Managing queries from banks, advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
7. Experience in cash management operations and processes.
8. Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail.
9. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
10. A background in finance, treasury, or similar roles (e.g., Treasury Assistant, Cash Manager).
11. Ideally, a qualification from the ACT or a willingness to study towards one.

Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Worthing office and home.
