Senior Support Worker

We are a dedicated residential social care home providing support to seven gentlemen aged 60-76. We support people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs. Our gentlemen lead very active social lives and enjoy engaging in community activities, visiting family and friends, going on outings and holidays, having new experiences.
Main duties of the job
* Support individuals with daily living, promoting independence, working alongside and adhering to the persons support plan and risk assessments.
* Supporting with personal care.
* Supporting with health appointments
* Supporting people to go out to places of interest, go on holiday.
* Supporting making and cooking meals and drinks.
* Shift leading, ensuring a shift runs safely and smoothly.
* Administration of medication.
* Escalating any concerns around the health of an individual.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Care Certificate or be willing to complete within 12 weeks
* NVQ level 2
Experience
* 12 months experience of working with people with a learning disability and autism
* Experience of leading a shift
* Have UK driver's licence and be willing to drive Trust transport
