This role can be based at any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%. The Network Regulation team (NR) leads on ORR’s role in holding Network Rail to account, comprising of individuals responsible for regulating Network Rail’s geographical business units and System Operator and co-ordinating and implementing day to day governance arrangements and enforcement activities as required. Play a key role in holding to Network Rail to account and making a difference to the UK rail network You will be responsible for leading and managing a suite of meetings and evidence feeding into and flowing from internal periodic Regulatory Compliance Group (RCG) meetings, ensuring robust evidence is put forward to allow ORR to understand and anticipate Network Rail’s performance and delivery during Control Period 7 (CP7) and its compliance against its Network Licence. As part of your role, you will need to build strong professional relationships with a range of internal colleagues, across a range of specialisms, and also external colleagues, including senior leaders in Network Rail. You will also have line management responsibility for two members of the Network Regulation team. This is an exciting time to join ORR.
