Job Description
A Business Analyst within the Process, Communication, and Training team will interface directly with End Users, System Admin, HRIT, Payroll Tax, and Payroll Management to analyze and improve processes related to all Payroll functions. The role involves researching solutions to support Aramark’s Payroll functions, executing project tasks, and relying on experience to accomplish goals. The position performs a variety of complex tasks and may require non-standard work hours. The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Payroll Operations and Payment Services.
Job Responsibilities
1. Execute various project and payroll tasks.
2. Assist with system documentation, testing, and training for Payroll Operations.
3. Collaborate with the System Admin Group on system configuration, testing, and analysis.
4. Provide escalation support for payroll applications.
5. Develop reports and queries in partnership with users to meet business needs.
6. Coordinate with external consulting groups to achieve project goals.
7. Analyze payroll data through queries.
8. Support application lifecycle management activities related to testing for the Ultimate Project.
9. Ensure seamless integration of payroll and processes across projects in Payroll, HR, and Benefits.
10. Work closely with End Users, GBS Payroll, Enterprise Systems Development, HRIT, Payroll Tax, and Payroll Management to implement system solutions.
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and management using interpersonal skills.
12. Develop KPIs for Payroll Operations.
13. Create reconciliation procedures for tax, cash banking, escheatment, pay cards, and others.
14. Provide data and analysis for management reports using Excel, Cognos, VB, and Access databases.
15. Document business requirements and conduct post-mortem activities on system initiatives.
16. Act as a liaison to the systems admin team, Payroll Operations, Payroll Support, and Payroll Tax.
17. Conduct needs analysis for proposed solutions.
18. Support payroll projects to ensure integration of systems and processes.
19. Coordinate project plans and activities, reporting risks and progress.
20. Handle increasing responsibilities in project coordination and management.
21. Assist in testing software upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
22. Create and execute test plans adhering to standards and procedures.
23. Serve as a business analyst/liaison for Payment Services with various departments.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in Payroll Processing.
* CPP Certification (highly desirable).
* Experience with UltiPro, ADP Tax, and BI reporting.
Other Qualifications:
* Experience with query and database tools.
* Strong communication, analytical skills, and customer service orientation.
* Reliance on experience and judgment.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate project activities.
* May require non-standard work hours.
