Job Title: MRI Radiographer
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
Banding: Band 6
Start Date: 28 May 2025
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £26 per hour
Working Hours: 3 days per week, 12 hours per week
Responsibilities
The MRI Radiographer will perform a wide range of MRI examinations using Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa systems. Duties include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment safely and effectively, ensuring high standards of image quality, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date records, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment. Experience in paediatric imaging is beneficial.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or Diploma in Radiography
* Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Minimum of 6 months’ experience at Band 5 level in MRI
* Proficiency in operating Siemens Aera, Siemens Viato, and GE Signa systems
* Experience in paediatric MRI is desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to patient care and safety
