An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Consultant in The Rosehill Clinic, an integrated Sexual Health clinic based at St Helier Hospital in Sutton. The post has arisen following the retirement of the incumbent. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team within Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust to deliver integrated sexual health to the population of Sutton and beyond as part of the Sutton Health and Care Alliance. The post holder will work across genitourinary medicine and HIV and will be departmental safeguarding lead.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide consultant care to a small cohort of HIV patients
2. Provide advice, screening, diagnosis and treatment of STIs (8-10/ clinic)
3. Safeguarding lead for sexual health & HIV
4. Provide consultant advice and support to HIV testing in emergency department health advisor
5. Contribute to implementation of innovative clinical pathways
6. Provide consultant advice and support to multidisciplinary team working in the integrated sexual health service. Review complex cases requiring senior input.
7. As part of the MDT define and deliver excellent case-management practice for individuals with increased vulnerability and or complex needs
8. Contribute to the wider sexual health of the community in Sutton by supporting and working collaboratively with other sexual health providers, including secondary care, primary care and third sector agencies.
9. Provide consultant advice and clinical supervision to rotational FY2 doctors in genitourinary medicine

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
10. Full GMC Registration
11. CCT in GUM or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by PMET/GMC by date if Advisory Appointments Committee (AAC))
12. Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via one of the following: oCertificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) oCertificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) oEuropean Community Rights

14. MRCP or MRCOG

Clinical Experience
Essential criteria
20. Evidence of broad-based training experience and competence in sexual health, and contraception equivalent to that required for a UK CCT
21. Experience of effective audit leading to change, quality improvement and other aspects of clinical governance
22. Training in and practical experience of safeguarding
23. Experience of setting up and evaluating new sexual health or outreach services
24. Clinical and educational supervision experience
Desirable criteria
25. Experience of developing patient centred healthcare, especially for individuals with increased vulnerability and /or complexity
26. Experience of setting up and conducting clinical research studies and collaborating with other researchers
27. Experience of working with colleagues at a regional or national level to help develop the specialty
Management & Administrative Experience

28. Extensive knowledge and skills of relevant sexual and reproductive health practice
29. Good understanding of and adherence to the principles of Good Medical Practice set out by the General Medical Council.
