Education/Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Graduated from a standard high school or GED or have equivalent experience.
2. Experience as a roustabout, in water transfer, or other oil and gas operations.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. 1 year of certification as an equipment operator.
Knowledge:
* Basic knowledge of water transfer pad operations.
* Basic knowledge of water transfer mobilizations.
Skills:
* Good communication skills with individuals at all levels.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Legible and intelligent writing skills.
* Ability to read and follow directions.
* Ability to work safely and remain alert at all times.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate in setup and demobilization; assemble required equipment/parts using power and hand tools.
2. Operate equipment according to specifications, inspecting fluid levels, temperatures, and attachment usage.
3. Operate telehandler, skid steer, loader, and man basket (when trained), performing pre/post operational checks.
4. Operate light plant, compressor, heaters, and generators, ensuring safety checks are completed.
5. Maintain records such as safety analyses, truck tracking, equipment checklists, timesheets, BBS, near miss reports, etc.
6. Communicate effectively via email, text, phone, radio, and interpersonal interactions.
7. Travel overnight to field assignments, with some projects lasting a week or longer.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area; fix containment and grounding equipment.
9. Fuel equipment safely, avoiding spills.
10. Use basic rigging and tag lines for lifts.
11. Monitor frac operations for safety and efficiency.
12. Assist with truck backing and spotting.
13. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies.
14. Assist in winter operations, including wrapping, tarping, controlled release, and operating heaters.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Training and supervising assigned spotters.
Physical Demands:
* Lift and carry up to 75 pounds daily.
* Walk on uneven, slippery, and muddy terrain.
* Sit or stand for up to 12 hours.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Operate and maneuver all-terrain vehicles.
Other physical activities include climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual requirements include depth perception and range of vision.
