Location: Iver
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Duration: Project running until 2029
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our water and infrastructure delivery team on a major long-term project based in Iver. This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a significant regional water infrastructure scheme, with early enabling works already in progress and full construction starting in summer 2026.

The Role
The Site Engineer will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of site works. You will be responsible for setting out, technical delivery, and ensuring all construction works meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
The position will work closely with the Site Agent, Project Manager, and commercial teams to support project delivery, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, precision, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering and Site Management
Establish survey control and carry out accurate setting out in accordance with project drawings.
Oversee and support daily operations on pipeworks infrastructure projects.
Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), risk assessments, and method statements.
Produce two-week lookahead programmes and assist in the coordination of work activities.
Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, allocation sheets, and as-built documentation.
Resolve technical and operational challenges as they arise on site.
Support the safe and efficient delivery of all construction works in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality
Lead by example in maintaining a positive safety culture.
Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and statutory requirements.
Monitor quality of work and ensure completion to specification and defect-free standards.
Promote innovation and identify opportunities for value engineering and process improvement.
Communication and Collaboration
Liaise effectively with internal teams including design, procurement, and commercial functions.
Communicate with clients, consultants, and third parties to ensure smooth project delivery.
Produce progress reports and contribute to project meetings as required.
About You
Essential
Proven experience working on pipeworks projects within water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Sound technical understanding of civil engineering and construction processes.
Proficiency with total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and environmental compliance.
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a site delivery team.
Desirable
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
TWS (Temporary Works Supervisor) certification.
CSCS card (appropriate level).
Cable avoidance, confined space, or first aid training.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
