GSL Education are looking to appoint a committed and experienced HLTA to join a dedicated team within a specialist provision in Spilsby. This rewarding role is ideal for someone with a strong SEN background, ready to take on additional responsibilities while making a meaningful impact. Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, support pupils on a one-to-one and group basis, and occasionally lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will play a vital role in the learning and development of children with complex needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory processing challenges. Role Responsibilities: Support learning across the curriculum under teacher guidance and independently. Deliver structured interventions and tailored learning programmes. Work with individual pupils and small groups to support academic, social, and emotional development. Assist in developing individual learning plans and support strategies. Use specialist strategies and resources to support pupils with a wide range of needs. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Candidate Requirements: HLTA status or relevant HLTA-level experience in SEN settings. Experience working with children with complex and additional needs. A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to support. Knowledge of SEN strategies, EHCPs, and behaviour management. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
