Elvet Recruitment are seeking a HR & Recruitment Advisor to join a client based in the Teesside region on a 9 month FTC.
This position offers a mix of responsibilities, combining the recruitment of specialist talent with providing support across core HR activities. It’s well-suited to someone who enjoys a dynamic environment, values relationship-building, and is motivated to contribute positively to the overall employee experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Overseeing recruitment activity from sourcing and selection through to successful placement
* Developing strong connections with candidates across technical, operational, and office-based roles
* Coordinating and attending assessment centres and career events
* Working closely with hiring managers to understand requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions
* Assisting with onboarding, including preparation of paperwork, induction delivery, and right-to-work compliance checks
* Supporting offboarding processes such as exit interviews and leaver administration
* Maintaining up-to-date employee records and producing HR-related reports
* Tracking attendance and assisting with absence management procedures
* Taking part in engagement initiatives and contributing to wider HR projects
* Being part of a collaborative team environment with scope for growth and development
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience gained in a recruitment consultancy environment
* Strong grasp of full-cycle recruitment processes and recognised best practice
* Background in HR administration or support considered beneficial
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
* Proficient in recruitment systems, HR software, and Microsoft Office applications
* Able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining organisation and efficiency
* Detail-focused with strong planning and organisational abilities
* Capable problem-solver with sound judgment in decision-making
* Reliable in handling confidential and sensitive information
* Flexible attitude, including occasional travel to recruitment fairs or assessment days
Role details:
* Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm
* Hybrid 3 days office based
