Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturing company north of York, is looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Technician on a permanent basis due to business growth. The successful candidate will assemble and test Electrical / Electronic components used in sub assemblies and final build. The role requires electrical training with demonstrable experience reading electrical schematics, panel wiring, soldering, crimping and terminating cabling. Hours: 37 per week. Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. Any overtime paid at premium rates if over 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
* Assemble electronic/electrical sub assemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards
* Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc
* Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, cable assembly, and control system outfitting
* Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies
* Ensure assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%
* Ensure assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule into integration dates and tooling/spares WO completion dates
* Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, including timesheets, ECN etc.
* Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices
* Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards
Skills & Qualifications
* Ideally candidates will be Time Served in an electrical discipline
* 18th Edition qualified (Advantageous)
* A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential
* Technical competence in Low voltage AC/DC panel wiring/looming, High voltage installations, Control/Data systems
* Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches
