Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service is a charity which exists to promote strong, sustainable and healthy communities through voluntary and community action.
We provide advice; training and hands-on support to local groups; champion the voluntary sector; and run projects.
What difference will you make?
This is a great opportunity to contribute your voice, skills and energy to something really meaningful.
You'll be helping to support voluntary and community groups in the Derbyshire Dales; promoting the needs of communities and the work of the voluntary and community sector at a strategic level; and by running projects that support disadvantaged people and communities.
What are we looking for?
At the moment we are especially interested in people with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas
Dales communities
Fundraising
HR
ICT / digital strategy
Marketing / comunications
PR / networking / campaigning
You don't need any particular qualifications or experience to be a charity trustee and you don't need to be a charity expert. If you have a good head for organisations, a connection to our communities and a collaborative spirit, we'd love to hear from you.
Your experience might come from the private, public, and/or voluntary sectors.
What will you be doing?
We have a newly developed Strategic Transformation Plan, and are looking for new Trustees to join our Board to help steer our organisation into the future. The key areas of focus we have identified are
Operational excellence through technology
Financial sustainability
Amplifying the sector's voice and connecting communities
Strengthening our foundations
Member service development
