Step into the role of Team Leader at Barclays, where you will oversee and manage operations within a key business area, ensuring the maintenance of processes, the implementation of risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

This role can only be performed from the Knutsford site.

To be successful as a Team Leader, you should have experience with:

1. Able to work shifts (between 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday).
2. Experience in leading teams of 8 to 12 people.
3. Excellent Customer Service skills.
4. Leadership and team management experience.
5. Acting as a point of contact for stakeholders and within the team.

Additional highly valued skills may include:

1. Previous knowledge or experience within financial services.
2. Ability to adapt to change.
3. Problem-solving skills.

You may be assessed on key skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role will be based in Knutsford.


Purpose of the role

To manage operations within a business area, maintaining processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators.


Accountabilities

1. Identify trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new processes and procedures through monitoring and analysis of operational data and performance metrics.
2. Manage operations for a business area and promote efficient processes, risk management, and compliance initiatives to support the bank's operations.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including business leaders, project managers, and SMEs) and external stakeholders (including vendors and service providers) to support business operations and align with the bank's objectives and SLAs.
4. Manage operational professionals and provide guidance, coaching, and support to improve colleagues' delivery quality.
5. Develop and manage KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operational functions, utilizing data and technology to identify areas for improvement.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience.
7. Create a safe environment for colleagues to speak up, actively encourage feedback, and focus on the right areas of the people agenda.
8. Work closely with HR to manage attrition and implement retention initiatives.

14. Resolve problems by applying technical experience and precedents.
15. Communicate complex information effectively and build networks outside your immediate team.
