We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment – and we’re looking for people who share those values.
About This Role
We are proud to be a well-established provider of complex care at home, with five successful operational offices across the country. As we continue to expand our services, we’re excited to open our sixth branch — and we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead this new venture.
This is a unique opportunity to join at the early stages of development. With a clinical team already in place and care hours actively being delivered, we’re now seeking a driven leader with the ambition to expand the service, build a strong care team, and establish a lasting operational presence in the area.
You’ll have the autonomy to shape the local service, supported by a wider national team and an established operational framework.
In this role, you will make a real impact on people’s lives while building and leading a dedicated team of Office Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists. Together, you’ll ensure the safe and effective delivery of personalised complex care packages.
You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office inSpennymoor, but at times, travel to our clients’ homes and network of offices will be required.
In this role, you'll:
1. Manage the escalation of accidents, incidents, and complaints
2. Recruit and retain care staff to assist clients who require complex care packages
3. Establish and maintain robust operational procedures in the office to ensure high-quality service delivery
4. Meet budget goals and manage office-related costs
5. Have overall responsibility for the safe service delivery in line with CQC regulations and company policies and procedures
6. Supervise the introduction of new complex packages safely
7. Participate in meetings and forums to assess service provision
8. Transition to the role of Registered Manager after a successful probation period
What You’ll Need
9. Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
10. Strong planning, rota management, and problem-solving skills
11. Confident managing a caseload of care packages in a fast-paced setting
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
13. Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change
What We Offer
14. 25 Days Annual Leave, plus Bank Holidays
15. An extra day off on your birthday*
16. Bonus Scheme
17. Loyalty reward programmes at 3 and 5 years*
18. Refer a friend scheme
19. Workplace pension
20. Access to private healthcare following successful completion of a 6-month probation
